Stormy Weathers

This is Stormy Weathers (AKA Storm Trooper). She was adopted from D'Arcy's ARC on June 10, 2006.
My husband and I were told that she was brought in by the City of Winnipeg Police, so I thought that naming her Stormy Weathers was fitting (1. for her colour; and 2. for Cybill Shepherd’s character in Moonlighting).
She is a real “talker,” and has been since day one!  When we noticed her in the kennel, she stood up on her hind legs, with her front feet up and just “talked” while she patted the kennel.  I was struck by her beautiful eyes, grey coat, “soft talking” and LOUD purring.  When we took her out, she snuggled right into my husband’s arms, and purred as LOUD as she could.  I knew right then and there I had to take her home.
I’ve never quite had a cat like her. She loves to hop onto shoulders to perch and purr.  With some cooperation from the human, she can step across to the OTHER shoulder while in “mid-ride” for a different view.
From day one, she has gotten along well with the other animals in the house. The first week, she used the dog (Tsuki) as a mattress.  She is truly a wonderful addition to our household.

This is Tsuki Tsunami (formerly known as “Nonna”). She was adopted on January 9, 2004 from D'Arcy's ARC.
My heart melted when she came barreling towards me when she was let out of her kennel.  It seemed as if she launched herself at me as if to say “take me home, please!!!” Even as a small puppy, she was a sweet, loving, good-natured, energetic dog. Her first name means “beloved,” because she is a beloved member of our household. She doesn’t seem to care where she is, as long as she’s with her humans. She loves to join us when we are cross-country skiing in the winter, and rollerblading in the summer, although her favourite time of year seems to be winter.
She gets along really well with the cats in the household, and even cuddles up with one of them (Stormy).
She is a wonderful addition to our home.
