| June 19 - Rest Day III |
- Friday, June 19th, 2009 -Today's Trip: -- Total Trip: 1808km My third rest day on the tour: it was a lazy and relaxing day. I slept in until 8AM, heading out for lunch around 11AM to "Ricky's Restaurant". We spent a couple hours at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum learning all about Saskatchewan from millions of years ago to present day. Had my second phone interview with Ian Shanley from the Winnipeg Sun as he has been keeping progress on my trip. You can follow this link to listen to my first interview; when Ian provides us with the link of the interview, Dan will add it to my blog. Our next destiantion was the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. It was most informative and interesting! Dan felt there were more displays on sands and soil than dinosaurs -- he likes dinosaurs. Here are some pictures from within the museum. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After the museum, we were terribly disorientated. With Dan's sage-like navigation skills, we successfully arrived at Cornwall (Cornball) Centre -- World's Smallest Mall, The Bay was bigger than the rest of the mall. After the mall, we made our way back to the hotel by 4:30PM. I had a little nap, and then Dan and Jenn decided we are having fish and chips for supper. We went to Joey's Only Seafood Restaurant down the road. I love fish. When we got back to the hotel I decided to stretch my legs a little more by taking a stroll. That is all for today. I hope to reach Grenfell, SK in good time so I can get to a farther city, lessening my trip towards Virden, MB. We shall see what lady luck has in store for me. Good night. -D'Arcy PS. Once again, we have a poor internet connection. Dan will uplaod pictures to make this blog more interesting when we get a better connection. ![]() |
