Got away from Brandon, MB at 8:30AM this morning.  It was nice to have a South-West wind.  I made it all the way to Spruce Wood Provincial Park before it started to rain.  I stopped to find and put on my rain jacket.  I proceeded to ride through the rain.  Although it was not a heavy rain, a lot of the water just sits on the TransCanada Highway, and I get splashed every time as traffic goes by.

 

Dan and Jenn caught up to me shortly after.  We stopped in MacGregor, MB and found a restaurant where I had probably the best cheeseburger I've had this whole trip.  Dan got on the bike after lunch and rode with me for a bit.  

About an hour and half later, at 3:30PM, we arrived in Portage la Prairie, MB and checked into the Super 8.  I had a quick shower and took a nap.  Thanks again to Kari at Canad Inns in Brandon for donating the room last night.  

Tonight, my family is riding in from Winnipeg, MB to join us in Portage la Prairie and they will us tomorrow in a separate vehicle into Winnipeg, MB.  We await their arrival upon which time, we will go out for dinner.

There will probably be a police escort tomorrow as we begin to enter Winnipeg.
